Samantha Pop
Bio
Dr. Pop was born and raised in Beverly Hills, California but is happy to call South Jersey home where she lives with her husband/medical school sweetheart, Dr. Josh Weinstock, and their two daughters.
She attended college at Wesleyan University where she double majored in English and Biology and was the coxswain of the Varsity Women’s Crew team and founded and served as the first president of the school’s only sorority, Rho Epsilon Pi.
Dr. Pop earned her medical degree from Cooper Medical School of Rowan University where she graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. At Cooper Medical School she was the founding editor of the medical humanities magazine, The Asclepian.
She graduated from Internal Medicine residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. Where, again, she founded a medical humanities literary magazine, Caducean Lights. Dr. Pop was awarded the Katherine Swan Ginsburg Award for compassionate patient centered care.
Committed to life-long learning, Dr. Pop completed a second residency in dermatology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson where she served as a chief resident.
Dr. Pop enjoys baking, coaching youth soccer, vacationing at the Jersey shore and spending time with family and friends.
